Born in Massachusetts, I attended college and graduate school in the state of Maryland, receiving my B.A. in Special Education in 1983, and my M.S. in Deaf Education in 1988. I moved to Los Angeles in 1988 and attended California State University Northridge to clear my Special Education credentials (LH and CH) and to earn a multi-subject credential. I am also authorized to teach children with Autism. Prior to working for LAUSD, I taught Early Intervention in the Dept. of Pediatrics at UCLA. I've worked for LAUSD approximately 21 years.
